NEWS FROM THE BISHOP’S OFFICE

For some time Martin Detering, not only at Synodal Meetings, but as CCW Chairperson, has requested that the church’s communication strategy be reviewed. At the last synod, it was agreed that a communication team would be formed to develop a new policy. For all who have been keeping an eye on the ELCSA Cape Church’s website recently, they would have seen a countdown to the launch of a new newsletter and changes to the website. The time has drawn closer and by the time our Pastoral Note is published, that time will have arrived.

We congratulate the Communication Team, led by Dr. Gideon van der Watt, along with Ms. Erika Gerntholtz, the communication officer, on achieving this goal. May this new communication strategy not only benefit our Ev.Lutheran Church locally, but also nationally.
