A PRAYER FOR OCTOBER

Dear Friends
November 4, 2024Reflection on the watchword for October: “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
What a wonderful word of encouragement. I certainly need this word of encouragement, everyday anew. When things get complicated in my everyday life, then I need this Reassurance: God is merciful. God is faithful. I am not alone. He is with me, right here and now.
I want to be aware of this every day anew: God is merciful. He has mercy on us fallible human beings. God means well for us humans. His “faithful love never ends! His mercies never cease.”
Dietrich Bonhoeffer put it this way: “Being allowed to begin a new life with God every day anew, is the gift that God gives us with every new day!”
Therefore, let us face the coming days with confidence and filled with joy, as God goes with us.
Communication Desk
Synod had tasked the Church Council to explore ways to better communication in the church. Watch the space and social media, as bold steps will be taken in this regard.
