As always, we proceed with “being church” after the worship service for refreshments. On Sunday, 18 August, the sky was clear, and the hospitality was warm. Thank you to all who prepare the table before the service, and also to those who bring something to eat.

Between 5-8 August, the Pastors of the Cape Church visited the picturesque Schoenstatt Retreat Centre in Cape Town for our annual meeting. During these three days ample time was spent in prayer and devotion, listening to the Word of God and to one another. This is also a time for theological input and our guest speaker was Cas Wepener, Professor in Practical theology at US. We discussed, at length, the role that our Lutheran tradition and our liturgy can play in the 21st century.
