October 4, 2024Gracious God,
In a world filled with strife and conflict, we turn to You, remembering the words of Lam 3:22-23: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.”
We lift up the Middle East and all regions plagued by discord. May Your steadfast love wash over the hearts of those in conflict—Jews, Muslims, Christians, Palestinians, and Israelis. Transform their pain into understanding and their hostility into harmony.
Lord, we pray for the lives of Christians facing persecution and hardship in these tumultuous times. Grant them courage, protection, and a sense of community. May they be beacons of hope and agents of peace in their neighbourhoods and beyond.
Help us all to hold onto the promise of Your mercies that are renewed each day. May we strive to embody Your love in our actions, fostering reconciliation and understanding wherever we are.
We ask for Your peace to reign in our hearts and in our world, today and always. Amen.
May the grace of God be with you and God’s kindness keep you safe.
Your pastor and friend
