From the 12th to the 14th of October 2023, East London’s St. Crucis Lutheran Church was abuzz with excitement as it played host to the 2023 Synod.

This year’s synod revolved around the thought-provoking theme, “God sees!” but it also took a deep dive into the intergenerational diversity within our congregations and church, with a special emphasis on the vibrant youth community.

The Synod was a unique and enriching experience, fostering unity and understanding among generations while celebrating the energy and perspectives of the youth. Delegates from near and far gathered to explore the intersection of faith, diversity, and the future of the church.
